Visiting the Acropolis

The Acropolis is the most popular attraction in Athens, with millions visiting each year. It is notorious for its long lines at the entrance. It is necessary to by a ticket in advance as tickets are not sold directly at the venue.
Buying your ticket in advance will allow you to skip the line and go straight to security check. Though you might incur a small booking fee, your time is much better spent visiting the Acropolis, rather than waiting in a long line, which in the summer can be exhausting due to the extreme heat and lack of shade.

Acropolis Opening Hours
The Acropolis is open daily from 8.00 am- 8.00 pm. The last admission is 30 minutes before closure, at 7:30pm
