Palace of Versailles Ticket Options

Are you planning a visit to the Palace of Versailles and you are not sure on what ticket to buy?
Choosing your ticket is not as straightforward as with other attractions in Paris. This is because Versailles is huge, there is a lot to see and not all areas of Versailles are accessible with the same ticket. Below we describe the different Versailles ticket options available. We hope this will help you in deciding what ticket to buy:

Versailles Passport Ticket: this is a skip the line ticket which gives you access to the entire Versailles estate (the Palace, the estate of Trianon, the temporary exhibitions, the Gardens and Parks). This ticket gives you access into the Palace at the time slot selected by you and includes an audio guide which is available in multiple languages. Please note that you can choose between two Passport Ticket options. The first ticket option, costs a bit less, but does not give you access to the Gardens on the days of the Musical Fountain Shows and the Musical Gardens. The second option also provides access to the gardens on the days when the Musical Fountain Shows and the Musical Gardens are held. Remember, that on days when the shows are not held access to the gardens are free.

2-day Versailles Passport: this is identical to the Passport ticket described above with the only difference that it gives you access to the entire Versailles estate for 2 consecutive days.

Palace ticket with timed entry: this ticket gives you skip the line access to the Palace at your selected time slot. It also gives you access to the Palace temporary exhibitions and includes a downloadable audio guide available in multiple languages. You can visit the Park and the Gardens too. The Gardens, however, can only be visited with this ticket on days when the Musical Fountain Shows and the Musical Gardens are not held.

Estate of Trianon Ticket: with this ticket you can enter the Estate of Trianon, which includes the Grand Trianon and the temporary exhibition within the Grand Trianon. It also gives you access to the Park and the Gardens, except for days when the Musical Fountains Shows or Musical Gardens take place.

Musical Gardens Ticket: this is the entry ticket to the Gardens when the Musical Gardens takes place.

Musical Fountains Show Ticket: this is the entry ticket to the Gardens when the Musical Fountain Shows takes place.

Versailles Tickets with transportation from Paris: There are also numerous ticket options available which include access to the Palace of Versailles and transportation from central Paris. The transportation options are many, including taking the train, taking a bus or even private transportation. Visiting Versailles with the Paris Museum Pass

You can also visit the Palace of Versailles with the Paris Museum Pass. The Paris Museum Pass is great and super convenient, especially if, in addition to visiting Versailles, you are planning to visit many of Paris top museums and monuments. The pass grants you entry to the entire Versailles estate - the Palace, the estate of Trianon, the temporary exhibitions, the Gardens and Parks. However, it does not include admission to the Gardens on the days the Musical Fountains show and Musical Gardens are held. If you want to visit the gardens on the days when the shows are held you can buy a garden ticket online or at the entrance of the gardens.
