How to get to the Louvre?

The Louvre Museum is situated on the right bank of the Seine, in the first arrondissement of Paris. Getting to the Louvre is easy, below we list a few transport options:
By Metro: the closest metro stop is the Palais-Royal Musée du Louvre (lines 1 and 7)
By Bus: There are many busses stopping at the Pyramid. These include: 21, 24, 27, 39, 48, 68, 69, 72, 81, 95 & Paris Open Tour Bus.
By Car: you can park in the underground garage which is located on avenue du Général Lemonnier. It is open daily from 7.00am - 11.00pm
By Batobus: Louvre stop - quai François Mitterrand
By Foot The Louvre is located in the center of Paris, easy to reach on foot

Monday: 9.00am – 6.00pm
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: 9.00am – 9.45pm
Thursday: 9.00am – 6.00pm
Friday: 9.00am – 9.45pm
Saturday: 9.00am – 6.00pm
Sunday: 9.00am – 6.00pm
On the first Saturday of each month the Louvre stays open until 9.45pm and admission is free from 6pm to 9.45pm,
The Louvre is closed every Tuesday as well as on the 1st of January, 1st of May and 25th of December.

Monday: 9:30am – 5:30pm
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: 9:30am – 5:30pm
Thursday: 9:30am – 5:30pm (until 9 pm on the first Thursday of each month)
Friday: 9:30am – 5:30pm
Saturday: 9:30am – 5:30pm
Sunday: 9:30am – 5:30pm
Last admission is at 5 pm.
